Do What is Right

You know, it is very difficult to always know the right thing to do.  Everybody has their own opinion on how to act, dress, be, do, think, etc.   I think it is good that there are so many different versions of  “right”.  It shows that God loves us all and has an individual plan for each of us.

For instance, I am one of many music teachers in our area.  Each teacher has their own thoughts on how they should teach and they each produce great students.  Is there a reason why so many different ideas are all good ideas?  Sure!  It is because each teacher has their own talents, abilities, life experience, personality, etc.  and they all have the right to receive their own inspiration from God to do His will and bring about great things.

Each of you have your own path in life.  Although you are all very similar, you are also very different.  Different rules apply to each of you.  While one needs order and exactness to make great things happen, another needs freedom and creativity or adventure and challenges.  Your rules may not always apply to others around you.  That is why it is important to always be worthy to have the Holy Ghost with you.  He will lead you down the path that is right for you.  It is also important not to judge others unfairly.  Keep in mind that their path is different from yours because their talents and personalities are different from yours.

Our Loving Heavenly Father knows each of us perfectly.  He will not lead us astray.  We just need to only listen to Him and not be confused when other people try to push their rules of  life onto us.  Have faith in your own path and faith in God and great things will happen!

Hello Girls!

Hi Girls!
I started this blog to better communicate with all of you! You guys are the most important people in my life and I wish I could spend more time with you! So, I thought I’d let you in on some of my thoughts and you could let me in on some of yours!

So to begin with, I want you to know how grateful I am for singing! After SUPAF, I am sure we are all thinnking, “Music is a harsh line of work”. But there is so much more to music than just making money. For instance, whenever I need to calm down and so I can better listen to the Holy Ghost, I sing! Music is a great miracle! Of course, religious music is great for this, but anything beautiful, lovely and of good report is wonderful too!

So, no matter what stupid judges say (or anyone else for that matter) remember that God loves us and our voices and that He delights in everyone’s “song of the heart”! So, sing it like you mean it and encourage everyone else to do the same….always! The world tells us we have to sing a certain way….but no one sings the same! Even on the radio, each artist sings with their own style! That’s why people listen to song after song even though the music sounds the same…the music may be similar, but voices are all unique and express their own “Songs of the Heart”. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise….remember! Your mom knows EVERYTHING!!!!

Miracles Happen Everyday!

Some say that miracles are a thing of the past, some say that they only happen to saints and prophets, others say miracles are no longer needed.  I think otherwise.  My husband and I and our five daughters live with miracles surrounding us every day.  That’s right, that makes SEVEN MIRACLES.

I start this blog with the intention of recording the miracles I see in my daily life and I hope that any readers might see and share the miracles in their own lives.  In a world that is filled with turmoil, I believe that we can rely on a loving Heavenly Father for the miracles, large and small, that we need to help us through our day.

Just today, my husband, Blake happened upon a client that was having a particularly hard time.  His mother and father had recently passed away and he was with each of them as they passed.  This experience caused him to start believing that there may just be something more than just this life.  Blake was able to share with his client his own experience of being with his dad when he passed away.  He told the man that he knew that there was a life after this and that our loved ones are just as connected with us on the other side as they were when they were living.

Blake left his client’s office feeling that he had the chance to be in the right place at the right time.   This is nothing new, Blake always seems to be in the right place at the right time.  He has seen many miracles happen because he is willing to follow his heart and share his love with everyone.  He has been a tower of strength for many people and he was blessed to share his gift again today.  Miracles really do happen every day!
